ADS President Marcus Bryson Awarded CBE

Marcus Bryson, President of aerospace, defence, security and space trade organisation, ADS Group, has become a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Marcus (right) was honoured for services to the UK aerospace sector. He has extensive experience of the aerospace industry and has been a driving force behind the successful Aerospace Growth Partnership – a strategically important and successful joint industry and government initiative that seeks to secure the UK aerospace sector’s world-leading position for the long term.

Marcus is Chief Executive of Aerospace and Land Systems at global engineering group GKN plc, having joined the company in 1994 with its acquisition of Westland. Prior to becoming Chief Executive, Marcus held a number of finance and commercial roles within Westland and senior positions in GKN’s Aerospace division.

Paul Everitt, chief executive of ADS Group, commented: “Marcus has a deep understanding of and commitment towards the UK Aerospace sector and he has been instrumental in developing a strategy and approach for the future through his joint leadership of the Aerospace Growth Partnership. This award reflects the valuable role that Marcus has played, and continues to play for our sectors in the UK.”

Marcus took up the position of president of ADS in January 2014. He joined the Board of GKN in 2007 and has responsibility for two of GKN’s four divisions.
