Aerospace industry hits 900 commercial aircraft deliveries in 2015
The aircraft data comes ahead of London hosting the European Commission’s flagship event in aviation research and innovation, Aerodays2015. The Conference, which is being held in the UK for the first time ever, brings together experts, industry leaders and policy makers from around the world to showcase technological and industrial developments from across the aerospace sector.

In addition the strong order backlog will help safeguard some of the 111,000 high skilled and high tech jobs the sector provides across the UK.”
The high volume of aircraft deliveries – up by 6% year-to-date from 2014 levels – are estimated to be worth around £15bn to the UK’s aerospace industry.
Revenue generated by aircraft deliveries is crucial to sustaining important R&D and continued investment in the UK aerospace sector.
Since 2010, the UK aerospace sector has grown more than 30 per cent. Significant investment through programmes such as the Aerospace Growth Partnership (AGP), National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATEP) and the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI), has initiated the development of new key technologies which will help fulfil the global backlog of over 13,000 aircraft, as well as push the boundaries of aerospace research and engineering.
