AJW and Tigerair enter long-term partnership

As part of the agreement AJW will deliver complete inventory technical management (ITM) across a variety of areas including components, major assemblies, wheels and brakes, auxiliary power units (APU), thrust reversers and consumables. The partnership will be underpinned by AJW’s global inventory of Airbus A320 spares located in accessible hubs across the region.
This is AJW’s first major contract in Australia and is further evidence of the Group’s burgeoning strength in the Australasia region, which was spearheaded by its important strategic supplier relationship with Air New Zealand in 2013. Within the framework of this complete programme, Tigerair Australia will also benefit from the specialist capabilities provided by Air New Zealand TechOps’ repair stations in Auckland and Christchurch. These will further reduce direct maintenance costs and improve reliability.
Rob Sharp, CEO of Tigerair Australia, said that building a more efficient operating platform is a key focus area for the airline as it continues to make headway with its three year transformation program.
