AJW Aviation named 'Best Spare Parts Provider'

At the Globe Theatre in London last night, AJW was presented the award for 'Best Spare Parts Provider' - for the second year running - in the Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance (ATE&M) Awards 2013.

The winners of the ATE&M Awards 2013 were announced at a glittering ceremony in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre last night and the ‘Best Spare Parts Provider’ is a very competitive category, wherein dozens of companies were initially nominated. The awards are entirely democratic, and with several thousand votes cast from all areas of the aviation industry, this makes the win for AJW particularly meaningful.

The awards process started at the beginning of the year when the industry was asked to make their nominations in the six main categories.  Following this, a shortlist of finalists was announced and votes were again invited. The ATE&M Awards, now firmly established as a highlight on the aviation calendar, aim to recognise and celebrate success in the commercial aviation aftermarket.

AJW President, Christopher Whiteside, said: “This is a great accolade and we are very proud to be named as the industry’s best spare parts provider.  The fact that this award is voted for across the aviation industry, including our customers, partners and suppliers, makes it especially important to us. To win for the second year running is a great achievement and I am very proud of everyone in the Company.

“Lead by a strong, ambitious and growing management team around the globe, our business continues on course to deliver double-digit growth annually across an impressive portfolio of component, engine and consumables services.  At our core is a Company ethos entirely focused on our customers’ needs.  The delivery of a flexible and first class service at all times is underpinned by on-going significant investment in the latest process improvement technology and we have just opened AJW Technique, our new component repair and overhaul facility in Montreal. We certainly look forward to defending our hard fought title as we continue to expand our business over the next twelve months.”
