AJW expands Singapore team

AJW Aviation has continued to expand its professional team by appointing Satvendar (Sam) Singh as chief commercial officer, based in the Singapore office.

Sam (right) brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles with Mubadala Aerospace MRO Network/SR Technics Switzerland, Singapore Airlines Engineering Company and Execujet Aviation Group.

Previous to this he managed Supply Chain and Logistics for Pratt and Whitney/United Technologies, in California. Sam holds a Bachelor of Law degree, Certificate in Legal Practice and an MBA in Finance.

Christopher Whiteside, president of AJW, said: “AJW Aviation has worked tirelessly to build and strengthen its worldwide offices over the years to maximise the Company’s dynamic and diverse structure on a global scale. Over the past few years we have inaugurated office and warehousing in Singapore, Miami and Dubai with additional strategic spares hubs located across Europe and the US. This year we have commenced operations at our new AJW Technique component repair and overhaul facility in Montreal; which is now the centralised hub for the global AJW repair supply chain and will deliver a broad range of component repair and overhaul services to the AJW Aviation customer base of more than 800 airlines in 115 countries.

“With Sam’s 25 years of experience and expertise in sales, finance, technical, supply chain and material management he will be a great asset to help us gain recognition for the group’s far-reaching specialised aviation services throughout the Asia Pacific region. Joining the well-established team in Singapore, he will further strengthen the support that we give to our current clients and be instrumental in developing our burgeoning relationships with operators looking for the uniquely comprehensive and flexible solutions that AJW provides.”
 
This appointment is one of several senior management roles that AJW has identified to enhance its commercial and business capabilities worldwide; as this year, Benjamin Leong and Christian Duhain have also joined the AJW Singapore team as regional sales manager and managing director.
