Albacom celebrates continued success with six figure contract

Albacom, a leading technology company specialising in providing electrical components for the defence and aviation industry, has been awarded a six figure contract with a leading aerospace and defence electronics company in India.

The eleven month contract commenced in June for the design, manufacture and testing of rugged Microwave Power Modules (MPMs). The scope of work involves integration of an electronic Power Supply Unit (PSU) and microwave amplifiers for test laboratory use and is due to be completed in April 2017.

Commenting on the contract award, Albacom CEO Jim Davidson (below) said: “We’re delighted to be working with this company for the first time, which is testament to our reputation for providing quality, bespoke products worldwide.

“The Indian market is a key element of our strategic growth plans and it’s thanks to the technical expertise of our highly skilled team that we can continue to expand our capabilities and offering to the market.”

The past year has seen significant growth and market expansion for Albacom, with the launch of the company’s new Lifting Services division.

Jim continued: “We’re forecasting a 30 percent total uplift in lifting services for the year and the creation of this fifth Albacom division ensures we are best placed to provide a specialist, holistic approach for our customers, at a time when Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations are becoming ever more stringent.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to offer bespoke products and services across a variety of disciplines, resulting in a significant amount of new projects across the UK and overseas from sectors including energy, utilities and manufacturing. 2016 has been a great year for Albacom so far, and I look forward to building on this success throughout the rest of the year.”
