More than 100 personnel from the Armed Forces have been publicly thanked by the Government for their contribution to military Operations in Libya.

The Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, invited the Royal Air Force to lead a joint parade of personnel who served on Operation ELLAMY, followed by a reception in the Palace of Westminster:  “The Welcome Homes we offer to troops returning from operations are Parliament's way of saying thank you for all that our Armed Forces do in our name. The response of Members of Parliament and Peers is a testament to the high regard in which we hold them, and our respect for their service.”
