Birmingham Airport opening new bar facilities

Birmingham Airport will be opening two new bars in 2014, one in the South departure lounge, opening in April and one in the North landside area, planned for June.

The two new bars - operated by Mitchells & Butlers under their 'All Bar One' brand - are designed to enhance the airport's facilities for both passengers and visitors.

There are close to 50 All Bar One bars nationally, all offering a busy, cosmopolitan city vibe and serving continental beers, champagne, wine and cocktails. The stylish bars will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering a wide range of meals for all tastes, including light bites, tapas, sharing plates, sandwiches and mains.

The bar will also incorporate a tasting table where guests can book wine and cocktail masterclasses.

Gary John, property director, Mitchells & Butlers said: “We are delighted to have successfully acquired these new locations and showcase All Bar One within one of the country’s most vibrant and expanding airports. We continue to seek to expand our brands which serve attractive market segments and which can offer us good returns.”

Richard Gill, Birmingham Airport’s head of Commercial, said, “We’re committed to providing our passengers with a world class experience and over the last few years we’ve improved our food and beverage offer throughout the Airport to offer choice for all our passengers.
