UK defence industry presence strong in Malaysia

ADS has continued its promotion of the UK defence and security industry's interests in the Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region through managing the UK trade pavilion at Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2012, held this week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sixty-five UK companies ranging through primes, mid-caps and small medium sized enterprises exhibited at DSA, 20 of which exhibited on the UK Pavilion.



Willy Hockin (above), director maritime at ADS, said: “As the high level of interest from UK industry present at DSA and our Prime Minister’s recent tour of the region has demonstrated, Asia is a key market for UK defence and security companies. Industry anticipates there to be a significant demand from the region in the future, and the UK as the second largest global exporter of defence equipment is an ideal partner to aid this growth.”
