Hutchinson named Best Newcomer in Investors in People Awards

Hutchinson Engineering has been named as a top organisation for people management practice in the UK, having been shortlisted in the Best Newcomer category, in the first Investors in People Awards.

The Awards, which received over 500 entries from all over the UK and different sectors, will celebrate the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses, with winners being announced at a London ceremony held on 23 June.

Hutchinson Engineering, which has sites in Kilrea and in Antrim with Hutchinson AeroTech, is only one of two companies from Northern Ireland that has been nominated as a finalist.

The 15 categories will recognise Excellence in Leadership and Management, Reward and Recognition, Social Responsibility, and Most Improved Organisation, amongst others.

The Best Newcomer category recognises a newcomer to the IIP Framework who has been accredited for the first time in the last three years, has achieved immediate tangible benefits since being accredited and can demonstrate a clear strategy for future growth. Hutchinson Engineering is shortlisted alongside four other companies in the category.
