Mr Howe has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in the security sector, starting in the Ministry of Defence and moving to join the international electronics group, Thales UK in 2000. Over the years, he has held a number of key roles, including Deputy Chief Executive of the Defence Procurement Agency and Vice Chairman of Thales UK.

Keen to work with and support industry, Mr Howe took over the Chairmanship of the ADS-hosted Security and Resilience Industry Suppliers Community group, creating a policy committee which acted as the forum to provide input to the joint MoD-Home Office 'National Security Through Technology' White Paper published in 2012.
