Atkins appoints Graham Bolton as global airports development director
With nearly 25 years’ experience, Graham (right) has worked on major airport development projects across the world, including those in Copenhagen, Dubai, Heathrow, Hong Kong, Seattle and Melbourne. Prior to joining Atkins he was the project director responsible for business planning, master planning and early design studies on the new Istanbul Airport. Graham is also deputy chair of the British Aviation Group.

Graham said: “Atkins is well respected for helping deliver a wide range of aviation projects that are enriching lives all across the world. I’m particularly looking forward to working with my new colleagues to harness the full breadth and depth of our expertise, helping clients develop and operate successful aviation businesses and produce many happy passengers and customers.”
Mike McNicholas, managing director of Atkins’ design & engineering division, said: “As the global aviation market continues to grow and evolve, Graham will be a huge asset to our clients who are looking to prosper in this exciting, but competitive market. Between them, our aviation specialists will have worked on some of the biggest and most complex airports projects ever which will be extremely valuable as we seek to tackle the significant aviation challenges of the future, both in the UK and globally.”
