Atkins appoints Graham Bolton as global airports development director

Atkins has appointed Graham Bolton as global airports development director, responsible for leading the company's continued growth in one of its key sectors.

With nearly 25 years’ experience, Graham (right) has worked on major airport development projects across the world, including those in Copenhagen, Dubai, Heathrow, Hong Kong, Seattle and Melbourne. Prior to joining Atkins he was the project director responsible for business planning, master planning and early design studies on the new Istanbul Airport. Graham is also deputy chair of the British Aviation Group.

Graham’s role with Atkins will see him provide strategic direction and technical leadership as the UK business looks to build on its strong global aviation portfolio which includes key roles on Heathrow’s £1.5bn Q6 investment programme, King Abdulaziz Airport in Saudi Arabia and a number of projects in North America and Asia Pacific.

Graham said: “Atkins is well respected for helping deliver a wide range of aviation projects that are enriching lives all across the world. I’m particularly looking forward to working with my new colleagues to harness the full breadth and depth of our expertise, helping clients develop and operate successful aviation businesses and produce many happy passengers and customers.”
