From 31 March, 2013 British Airways customers flying to Sydney will depart from Heathrow's Terminal 5 and travel on the airline's new Boeing 777-300ER.

The move into Terminal 5 will make it even easier for customers flying to or from Sydney to connect with the airline’s short-haul and domestic network of flights. They will also benefit from the state-of-the-art building, which is quick and easy to navigate and is home to the airline’s flagship lounges.

The B777-300 boasts British Airways’ First class, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins and the airline’s fully flat beds in Club World m(business class).

Customers flying to and from Singapore will also benefit from the terminal move and new aircraft as British Airways flights to Sydney go via the country.

Jamie Cassidy, British Airways’ area general manager for Asia Pacific, said: “This move confirms British Airways’ commitment to Australia.

“It’s an important part of our network and we’re underlining that by putting our newest aircraft and cabins on the Sydney route and moving the flight to Terminal 5, to sit alongside the majority of our other services.”
