BA, Heathrow and Qatar Airways recognised at 2015 Business Travel Awards

British Airways, Heathrow Airport and Qatar Airways were among the winners at the 2015 Business Travel Awards, which were presented last night at a glittering gala ceremony held at London's famous JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.

British Airways was recognised with the award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme, Heathrow received the accolade of Best Airport, whilst Qatar Airways was awarded ‘Business Airline of the Year’ - for the second consecutive year.

More than 1,200 guests, including many of the industry’s leading figures, attended this key event in the business travel calendar.

The awards were hosted by actor and comedian Stephen Mangan (right), and there was also entertainment provided by stand-up comedian Hal Cruttenden.

Richard Oliver, Country Manager, UK & Ireland, said; “It has been an incredible year for Qatar Airways, with not only a number of new routes but the expansion of our fleet to include the A350 and A380, both of which represent the latest in aviation engineering and technology. This award reiterates the quality of our renowned 5-star service and it is an honour to have been recognised in this category again.”

Shortlisted for Business Airline of the year alongside Qatar Airways were Air France KLM, ANA, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways and Lufthansa German Airlines.

In May 2014 Qatar Airways became the first carrier to fly an all-Business Class service between Heathrow and Doha, using an all-business class A319 aircraft. The daily Airbus A319 service to Doha is configured with a single aisle, 2-2 seating configuration offering 40 seats.
