BAE Systems and Selex ES team up for Typhoon EWOS support

BAE Systems and Selex ES have signed a teaming agreement which will enable them to work together on providing Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) for Eurofighter Typhoon customers.

The work will initially focus on current and potential future export campaigns and the Eurofighter Typhoon core programme where appropriate.

EWOS is the combination of mission support tools, processes, people and specialised training that is fundamental to transforming mission data into mission advantage for EW operators. Under the agreement, we will work with Selex ES to design, develop, deliver, integrate and support a potential export customer’s EWOS requirements, providing them with a sovereign EWOS capability.

Richard Hamilton, head of Support Services, BAE Systems, said: “This teaming agreement represents an important step for both BAE Systems and Selex ES. It provides both parties with the opportunity to work together to deliver Electronic Warfare support that will maximise the capability of the Typhoon platform for our Export customers. We are looking forward to working together to deliver this capability.”

Chris Bushell, SVP Electronic Warfare at Selex ES, said: “This agreement recognises Selex ES as BAE Systems’ strategic partner for electronic warfare and EW mission support.
