Belfast International Airport unveils new website

Belfast International Airport has unveiled a new website packed with up-to-the-minute information and news.

The new-look platform at www.belfastairport.com is easy to navigate and has dedicated sections on car parking, departures and arrivals, destinations served, car parking, shopping, food outlets, security and special assistance for passengers.

A few innovative features have been added including an ability to scale automatically for tablet and smartphone users … all designed to deliver a more user-friendly experience. There’s also improved website navigation which gets you to the sections you want to visit and the information you need.

The car parking booking system has been made easier to use, and more visual flight information is easy to access.  The expanding number of retail businesses at the airport now have an interactive shopping map to showcase what they have to offer - so you can view what is offer before you even arrive at the airport. There’s also an interactive destination map which displays routes and airlines. Belfast International Airport embraces social media platforms, and the website delivers a link to each of these. The website hosts a blogging platform with live Twitter feed to encourage greater customer engagement.

Belfast International’s Commercial Services Manager, Deirdre Graffin (right), said: “I’m delighted with the new website. It’s responsive, clean and clear and offers an easy-to-use facility for both passengers and visitors. “As well as that, there is a user-friendly content management system for staff to enable them to keep the website updated and amend or change information as it happens.
