BMT Isis celebrates first year in Plymouth
Officially opened by Oliver Colvile, MP for Plymouth, Sutton & Devonport, in February last year, the office has allowed BMT to further expand its existing business of providing Safety and Environmental consultancy to the Defence, Transport and Energy industries. It is also continuing to support the organisation’s new Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives capability which aims to address the growing need within industry and the MOD for highly qualified explosives safety personnel.
Over the past year, BMT has been able to take advantage of the highly skilled personnel that live in the area and, as such, staff numbers have doubled. Demonstrating its commitment to the Community Covenant which complements the Armed Forces Covenant at a local level, the majority of staff at the Plymouth office are ex-Forces.
Mike Prince, Managing Director of BMT Isis comments: “It’s been an exciting year for us in Plymouth where we have been extremely busy building business and community relationships. We look forward to building those relationships further, helping to maintain and develop our reputation and profile within the local area.”
