Bond staff prepare for charity jump

Fearless staff at Bond Offshore Helicopters (Bond) in Aberdeen are preparing for a group skydive this weekend, in order to raise money for five charities with which they each have a personal connection

So far the group has raised over £3,400, which will be split equally between the charities.

The six colleagues had previously discussed the idea of a fundraising skydive several times, and finally booked the jump earlier this year, setting the date for this Saturday. The group will take off from Strathallan Airfield, midway between Perth and Stirling, and jump once they reach approximately 10,000 feet.

Set to jump are Jennifer Christie, Logistics Co-ordinator, Claire Gauld, Technical Services Controller, Michelle Innes, PA to the Managing Director and Jane Dobson, Nicola Moy and Stephanie Watt all three of whom work in the Accounts department at Bond. All six have raised funds for their selected charities before, driven by personal experience, the loss of a loved one or just because the cause is one they feel especially strongly about.

Their chosen charities are Cancer Research, Meningitis Trust Scotland The Archie Foundation, Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, and Befriend A Child Aberdeen.

The chosen charities will receive 100% of the money raised, and you can still contribute using their online sponsor form http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/BOHgirlsskydive and have their fingers crossed that the weather will be kind on the day.
