our client, a major manufacturing organisation has a requirement for a Buyer / Sourcing Agent for their Belfast facility.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience in procurement for the manufacturing industry
Experienced Buyer required to purchase capital equipment, and related
services. Should have experience in a manufacturing environment and have
proven project management skills, together with experience in negotiating
commercial Contracts of high value. Be a good team worker with excellent
communication skills. Have good PC skills with all general MS software
programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Be able to work on their own
initiative and have high professional integrity. The person should be
capable of challenging proposals by adding professional experience to the
decision making process. There will be a probationary period 1 month.
To Purchase capital equipment, and related services.

Work within a natural team
Source Suppliers
Negotiate Contracts and achieve cost targets
Raise PO’s
Monitor and support progress to Contract execution
Support Customer and Supplier meetings
Contract amendments
Report on cash flow requirements and performance to budget
Present report charts
Involvement and support to purchasing activities
Rate: Negotiable
Contract: 6+ months
