CAe to create first supersonic UDAV

Cranfield Aerospace Ltd (CAe) and its partner ECA Programs plc, are to create the world's first supersonic Unmanned Dynamic Air Vehicle (UDAV) for 'Red Force Emulation' opportunities.

It is proposed that this new and exciting aircraft design and concept will be presented at the Dubai Air Show in November.

Work thereafter will focus on the development of the UDAV system incorporating CAe’s UAS technology and the generation of an aircraft to deliver ground‐breaking capability.

The UDAV aircraft will include a pilot “in the loop” initially but progress to a largely autonomous capability.
