CDE staging Innovation Network event in Glasgow

The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) is holding a networking event for science and technology providers in Glasgow on 30 September 2014.

CDE runs competitions to assess and fund the most innovative research ideas, with the potential to benefit the UK armed forces and national security.

At this event CDE will launch themed competitions for fully funded contracts on:
• synthetic biology applications in defence (up to £1 million available)
• defence medical sciences (up to £500,000 available)

In addition, Military Advisers and technical experts will give an overview of some areas where innovative research ideas are sought for CDE’s ongoing enduring challenge competition.

You can also find out about how to create an effective proposal for CDE funding, book a face-to-face meeting with CDE to discuss your potential proposal to either the enduring challenge competition or one of the themed competitions, plus the opportunity to meet other potential bidders, current Dstl suppliers, CDE, Dstl and military experts, and see examples of successful CDE projects.

CDE funds novel, high-risk, high-potential-benefit research. It works with the broadest possible range of science and technology providers, including academia and small companies, to develop cost-effective capabilities for UK armed forces and national security.
