Chapman Freeborn partners with EYOS Expeditions on trips to Antarctica
Building on the success of their collaboration earlier in 2014, Chapman Freeborn and EYOS expeditions have launched their unique private jet and yacht charter expeditions in Antarctica.
Antarctica will now benefit from the platform that saw guests complete door to door round trip expeditions to the Arctic earlier in the year, utilising private aircraft from Chapman Freeborn and a luxury expedition vessel from EYOS Expeditions. The first trip to the most remote continent on the planet and will mark the maiden season of EYOS Expedition’s latest charter vessel – the Enigma XK.
Ben Lyons, CEO at EYOS Expeditions commented on the vessel: “The ENIGMA XK is one of the very few yachts designed to be a true expedition vessel. She has a professional crew that understands the unique demands of an expedition, a sturdy hull to punch through Antarctic ice flows and the range to explore far away from any supporting infrastructure. When you combine the incredible scenery of Antarctica with the facilities of the ENIGMA XK and the convenience of private jet transfers, you truly have the ultimate Antarctic experience”
Chapman-Freeborn will be crafting air charter solutions alongside EYOS as they provide expert yacht charter on a variety of Antarctic options. Expected to be the most popular is a 10 day option where guests fly directly to Punta Arenas, Chile before boarding a specially equipped aircraft to the Antarctic continent. Another option is for guests to fly into Ushuaia, Argentina and begin their expedition from there with a sail past the famous Cape Horn.
