Cobham refuelling kit advances A400M tanker testing

Cobham's 908E Wing Dispense Equipment once again proved successful in demonstrating the ability to transfer fuel from the Airbus A400M to two F/A-18 Spanish Air Force fighters during the aircrafts latest flight trials.

Over the course of four flights which saw the F/A-18 fighters being refuelling simultaneously, a total of 74 wet and dry contacts were made and 27.2 tonnes of fuel was transferred.

Designed for rapid role change, the latest generation 908E Wing Dispense Equipment provides the A400M with an extension to its enormous flexibility by converting the aircraft into a highly effective tanker.
