Commsoft secures OASES deal with EU Wings

Aviation maintenance and engineering IT systems provider, Commsoft, has been chosen by EU Wings, a Verona-based MRO and aviation engineering services provider, to supply its MRO IT system, OASES (Open Aviation Strategic Engineering System).

OASES will support EU Wings' various aviation activities in Europe and Africa. EU Wing’s customers include airlines in Italy, Europe, D.R. Congo and Libya.

Commsoft signed the deal, granting the Italian CAMO, line maintenance and PT145 company a licence for twelve concurrent users, commencing straight away. The deal was hard won, in the face of strong international competition from a number of other MRO IT suppliers.

EU Wings' OASES licence covers several different engineering and maintenance modules, including core, airworthiness, planning and line maintenance control. In addition, the following MRO options have also been included: core, production, materials, commercial and warranty. EU Wings has also requested enhanced quality and training management options for the future and will work closely with Commsoft to define their exact requirements as the contract progresses.

Nick Godwin, Managing Director of Commsoft, commented: “We are delighted to welcome EU Wings into the OASES fold. Our system is ideally placed to support this leading aviation engineering organisation with its diverse operations, supporting its customers from across Europe and Africa. We look forward to a successful partnership with EU Wings for many years to come, exploring new markets."

Vincenzo de Laurentis, General Manager of EU Wings commented: “Amongst all the M&E software systems extensively evaluated in our organisation, OASES was the most instinctive, ‘user friendly’ and at the same time complete and professional system that we evaluated. We consider it will be an ‘essential tool’ to carry on our operations.”

OASES currently serves more than 100 aviation customers worldwide, ranging from national carriers and large third-party maintenance providers to small independent operators. It is a fully integrated MRO IT system that works to maintain effective aviation maintenance and engineering operations for CAMOs, airlines and associated organisations.
