CRFS launchING next gen RFeye Nodes at DSEI 2015

CRFS will be launching the latest additions to its class-leading family of RFeye Nodes at DSEI tomorrow.

RFeye Nodes have been specifically designed and packaged for flexible and scalable COTS deployments in remote distributed networks both indoors and outdoors, including hostile environmental conditions.

The RFeye’s modular hardware and software building blocks provide an open architecture platform that can scale from one to many hundreds of nodes across distributed spectrum monitoring networks. The new models, RFeye Node 50-8 and 100-18, ARE for spectrum critical applications with faster sweep speeds, improved sensitivity, instantaneous bandwidths up to 100MHz and extended frequency range to 8GHz or 18GHz. They are particularly suited to advanced capability, real-time spectrum operations or deployment on any spectrum critical site.

RFeye software allows users to configure, manage, visualise, capture, store and analyse spectrum data, both in real-time and for post mission analytics.

“I am delighted to be launching the new RFeye Nodes at DSEI,” said Alistair Massarella, CEO of CRFS. “They take distributed spectrum monitoring to the next level and embody many man-years of operational know-how. Our COTS solutions deliver exceptional RF performance and our software provides the flexibility to address expanded operational needs for more effective use of spectrum while addressing new threats with increased speed and agility.”

RFeye Node timing and synchronisation features allow correlation of data between multiple Nodes for accurate direction finding (DF) and geolocation of target signals using Angle of Arrival (AOA), Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) or Power on Arrival (POA) techniques. The hardware modules are designed for extended temperature harsh environments for ground, air and naval platforms
