The International Track 200 league table ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing overseas sales and is published in The Sunday Times. World leading airline training organisation, CTC Aviation, is ranked as number 32 ahead of internationally renowned British brands such as Cath Kidston, Pret A Manger and SpecSavers.  The 200 companies increased their international sales over the last two years by an average 43% a year to a total of £9bn.   Over the same period, CTC Aviation’s international revenue grew 82% a year from £812,000 in 2009 to £2.7m in 2011.

The 220 guests were welcomed to the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel on Wednesday 19 September 2012 by Ian Henley, Head of Corporate Banking in the UK and Europe at HSBC. He said the bank had supported international companies with ideas, access to markets, services and finance since it was founded by Sir Thomas Sutherland in Hong Kong in 1865, and he praised the company directors for their efforts. “The future of this country lies in international trade and investment.”

Rob Clarke, Group CEO for CTC Aviation Group Limited was awarded a certificate during the ceremony to commemorate the company’s achievement. “CTC is in the midst of some very exciting developments at the present time. In June of this year we completed a management buyout with private equity firm Inflexion which marks a new era for us.  Our priority remains to continue to deliver the highest standards of training for our client airlines and cadets, whilst we continue to increase our presence internationally and invest intelligently in new resources.. We are very proud to be in the top 200 and it is just recognition for our team who work so hard to help CTC retain its reputation as a world leader.”

CTC Aviation trains in the region of 2,000 airline pilots each year for approximately 50 client airlines around the world. The company provides aircrew selection and supply, cadet pilot training and a full range of advanced courses for experienced pilots.  Additionally, CTC’s private jet division manages and operates executive jets on behalf of private clients.  The company’s airline client list includes such household names as British Airways, the Jetstar Group, easyJet, IndiGo and Qatar Airways.
