DVD 2014: Airbus Defence and Space appoints Kevin Porter head of land business development

Airbus Defence and Space announced the appointment of its new head of business development for land services today at the DVD exhibition at Millbrook.

Kevin Porter has a wealth of experience in the defence industry and will be responsible for leading the land portfolio for the newly created company that combines the business areas of Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military.

Kevin was speaking to visitors this week to showcase a range of cutting edge technology that is designed to improve situation awareness for the military in the battlefield. Among the technology on display included the TACIP deployable communications system that provides a mobile headquarters for use in the theatre that allows everyone from the soldier on the frontline to the headquarters commander to receive an up to date picture of events as they unfold.
