Eurofighter continues displays across Europe

Eurofighter Typhoon continues its summer of air shows in September as it attends a number of international exhibitions across Europe.

The Eurofighter team are at MSPO in Poland  until the 6th September and will have a significant prescence at ILA 2012 in Berlin which begins on the 11th September and for the first time Eurofighter attended Batajinica Air Show in Serbia which was held over 1st and 2nd September.

MSPO takes place annually in Kielce, southern Poland. Each year, around 400 exhibitors from 27 countries attend the event with Eurofighter being one of them. Keen to build a prescence in Poland and develop further its relationships across Europe, Eurofighter have a stand showcasing the current and future capabilities of the aircraft and have a team of experts on hand to brief visitors on the Eurofighter programme.

ILA Berlin 2012 will be held this year in September 2012. Attendees to the show will see two German Eurofighter Typhoons in both static and air displays. The aircraft are from Jagdbombergeschwader 31 “Boelcke” in Nörvenich with the display being flown by Cassidian Test Pilot Geri Krähenbühl. This year marks one hundred years of  military aviation in Serbia and was commemorated at the Batajinica air show which took place over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd September. Around 130,000 people attended the event where in addition to aircraft and helicopters from the Serbian Air Force, other aviation companies of the Republic of Serbia presented themselves in the flying and static display. The Italian Air Force were in attendance at the show and brought a Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft which was exhibited in the static display.

To add to this busy month of shows, Eurofighter will also have a prescence at the RAF Leuchars Air Show in Fife, Scotland which this year will mark the stand-up of a new Typhoon squadron. From 15th September, 1 (F) Squadron will join 6 Squadron at the base who have been residents since 2010.
