Evidence Talks wins record order to SPEKTOR forensic intelligence systems

Evidence Talks, established in 1993, has developed a reputation for meticulous and methodical computer forensic work, conducting thousands of cases for law enforcement bodies, government agencies and major corporates across the globe.

Through the pioneering work of its Chief Technical Officer, Andrew Sheldon MSc, the company was the first software developer to create the patented technology of Remote Forensics and has since expanded with a range of forensic technologies and tools.

Like much of Evidence Talks’ work, the precise details of this latest major piece of business must remain confidential, however CEO Elizabeth Sheldon (below)), commenting on the deal, reveals that the US based customer has ordered more than 200 of its SPEKTOR Digital Forensic Intelligence systems, which are used by front-line police and other enforcement officers to rapidly capture, preserve and automatically examine data stored on computers, servers and mass storage devices.

“We have recently produced Version 5 of SPEKTOR,” she says “which has even greater capacity and speed than its predecessor.  The size of this latest order and the nature of the customer’s work both confirm that this is vital technology in an age where cyber-crime, terrorist activity, child abuse, people trafficking and fraud are increasingly perpetrated through digital devices.  Furthermore, it’s an area where a British company is a world leader.”

In addition, its wholly-owned associate business, ETL Visual Services, creates sophisticated, photo-realistic computer generated movies and imagery to assist in user training, and showcasing products and their capabilities. Their security cleared video artists are in high demand among commercial clients too, reflecting the companies’ emphasis on quality and confidentiality.

Later this year the business will move to much larger premises in Milton Keynes as a further milestone in its growth.

Company CTO Andrew Sheldon says “Despite the international economic conditions, over the last 10 years we have outgrown our secure premises twice. This latest move will enable us to further grow our team of local specialist software developers and continue creating truly world class solutions to global cyber-crime challenges.”
