Exova achieves preferred supplier status with Airbus

Global testing group Exova has been selected as a preferred supplier for non-mechanical testing and mechanical testing level 6 for Airbus' operations throughout Europe.

With this new agreement, Airbus is able to use Exova’s extensive network of Airbus approved laboratories in the fields of mechanical and non-mechanical testing including fatigue and fracture mechanics, metallurgical investigations, and physical tests  on a variety of metallic and non-metallic materials.

Ian El-Mokadem, chief executive officer of Exova said: “This agreement is the continuation of our long-standing and successful relationship with Airbus.  We have partnered with Airbus for over a quarter of a century and are proud to have helped them bring some of the world’s most important and safest aircraft to the skies. This new Agreement further enhances our relationship and extends the support we provide to Airbus throughout Europe.” 

Exova will provide testing programmes for Airbus and its suppliers from all of its eight globally located Airbus approved facilities that between them carry over 380 approved test methods, the largest of any Airbus supplier.
