FIA 2012: Olympian Sally Gunnell unveils TAG Farnborough Airport's new hangar
Sally joined TAG Farnborough Airport CEO Brandon O’Reilly, aviation industry leaders and customers for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the 120,000 sq ft hangar, following the second day of the Farnborough International Airshow.
“We are proud to declare our hangar open for business,” said O’Reilly. “Through hard work, dedication and ongoing investment we have built an award-winning reputation for excellence at TAG Farnborough. This new hangar represents our commitment to consistently meet the growing demand for business aviation.”
The striking new building, which allows the airport to offer its customers even more aircraft hangarage, storage and office accommodation, is just the latest of a series of improvements which include a new arrivals lounge and an innovatively-designed ‘crew room’. Over the past 10 years, TAG Farnborough Airport has invested more than £100 million in state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure.
The airport now features an award-winning main terminal, control tower and more than 240,000 sq ft of hangarage space. It also offers a wide range of amenities and services for customers, crew and aircraft including on-site office space, aircraft maintenance, concierge service and direct ramp access for customers wanting to drive directly to waiting jets.
