FIA 2014: Airbus recognises suppliers' achievements

On the occasion of the annual Airbus Suppliers Awards ceremony held during the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2014, Didier Lux, Airbus Senior Vice President Customer Services, and Geneviève Laurens-Chassagne, Head of Supplier Support Management presented awards to Systems & Equipment suppliers to Airbus who achieved outstanding levels of customer satisfaction.

The yearly ‘Supplier Support Rating’ survey is designed to recognise performance and commitment to customer satisfaction, as well as to identify areas for support improvement. To determine the shortlist from the 39 suppliers assessed, the rating process included inputs from 111 participating Airbus operators who together submitted more than 3,400 questionnaires. The awards are divided into two categories: ‘Gold’ and ‘Silver’ and the top rankings in these categories are as follows:

Didier Lux commented: “Every one of us creates value for our customers! This is why it is important to understand their needs and expectations, so that we can implement the relevant actions and ensure customer confidence and future success.” He adds: “Once more, the high number of participating operators in the survey clearly shows that the Airbus Supplier Support Rating is setting the standards within our industry.”

Geneviève Laurens-Chassagne added: “This is a real competition to recognise our suppliers for their flexibility in being able to adapt to the evolution of the market and to the evolution of our Customer’s needs.”

The next rating cycle will be launched during the final quarter of 2014. Airbus monitors suppliers ensuring they instigate dedicated actions and thus continuously improve their own performance, and benefiting the reliability of the Airbus fleet as a whole.
