FIL boosts commercial team

In light of Farnborough International Ltd's (FIL) growing consultancy business, the specialist organiser for aerospace industry events has appointed Emma Carter as Commercial Project Manager.

Emma (right) joins the business with over 20 years’ experience in the aerospace industry having worked as an Executive Assistant to former Airbus Chief Executive, Robin Southwell and in various roles for BAE Systems in her early career.

The appointment comes after FIL’s recent commission to plan and organize the Sichuan International Airshow in conjunction with the Sichuan Provincial Government in China. She will work alongside FIL Commercial Director, Amanda Stainer, to bring together the new China show which takes place in September 2017 as well as the Bahrain International Airshow and Farnborough International Airshow.

Speaking about the appointment, Amanda Stainer said: “Emma’s industry knowledge at the top end of the aerospace industry will be a real asset to the FIL business. Like all executive assistants, they are the backbone to any business leader and these qualities will prove beneficial in delivering projects at FIL.”

Emma Carter also commented: “I’m looking forward to joining the business. I used to run the UK VIP programme on behalf of Airbus for both DSEI and the Farnborough International Airshow so I am well-rehearsed on the importance of these high level networking events.”
