Frazer-Nash awarded contracts with the MoD

Frazer-Nash has recently won two large competitively tendered contracts with the MoD's Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation's Airworthiness Team (DAT) worth approximately £2m over the next two years.

The first of the two contract wins will see Frazer-Nash support the DAT in improving the understanding and implementation of Airworthiness and Air Safety management in DE&S.  This will be based on further development of the Military Air-Safety Standards Framework (MASF) to provide the benchmark. Working with Systems Consultants Services Ltd and  Aerospace & Airworthiness Consultancy Enterprises Ltd , Frazer-Nash will enhance the usability of the MASF and exploit it through a number of use cases including equivalence of regulations, airworthiness information and data management, release to service management, development of key strategies and competence assessment.

The second contract will see Frazer-Nash providing technical support to aircraft certification programmes being conducted by MOD. The contract is an innovative enabling arrangement that allows MoD customers to access a range of subject matter experts, either directly from the Frazer-Nash team or from a wide range of niche specialists. A key benefit that Frazer-Nash offers is its specialist knowledge in dealing with certification compliance and understanding of equivalence between certification specifications.

Tim Andrews, Business Manager at Frazer-Nash said, “We are delighted to be working with the DAT and the DE&S Air Project Teams (PTs).  We will be helping both to develop and share best practice and to assist PTs comply through life with the MRP in the development, procurement and support of Air Capability.  This contract reinforces our leading position in Airworthiness and Certification.”
