FSL Aerospace strengthens its team

Uxbridge-based supplier of fastenings, fixings and components for the UK aerospace industry, FSL Aerospace, today announced it has strengthened its team with four new members of staff.

The company is winning an ever increasing number of valuable contracts from existing long term customers, as well as receiving a lot of interest from potential clients. They all value the consistently high quality of product complemented by the exceptional levels of service.

As an aerospace industry supplier quality is at the heart of the business, and FSL has a framework for establishing and reviewing quality objectives. Their quality systems comply with both the specialised aerospace industry standard AS9120 and the more generic BS EN ISO 9001:2008. Products can be supplied to meet most aerospace company standards, including GE Aviation, MBDA, Meggitt Avionics and Eaton Aerospace.

Quality alone is not a guarantee of business success, and for FSL their customer service is viewed as equally important. They have wholeheartedly embraced the concept of Continuous Improvement (CI), and have been successful in gaining four consecutive SC21 bronze awards.

SC21 or 21st Century Supply Chains, is one of the most important aerospace industry standards, requiring companies to develop and implement a Continuous Sustainable Improvement Plan and sustain consistently high on the delivery and quality performance.

Continuous Improvement is now embedded in the culture of this business, along with truly valuing the skills and resources we have in our people. My role is to keep a sense of stability, ensuring that the business continues to grow in a manageable way.”

Oliver Phipps, who recently joined as Sales Executive, said: “Working for FSL Aerospace is a superb opportunity for me to be a part of a growing and highly successful company within the aerospace industry. I really enjoy being in the team and feel it’s more like a family.”
