G&P strengthens its aerospace industry commitment

Quality management services provider, G&P, is expanding its commitment to the aerospace manufacturing supply chain in a series of key initiatives which are aimed at helping improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs.

The first key move sees the company become a member of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA), the second largest aerospace regional membership organisation in the world.

Further reflecting the company’s widening remit, which now extends beyond its traditional automotive manufacturing base, G&P is also making its award winning QTrak quality management system available to MAA members, as well as other aerospace systems and components manufacturers.

“G&P has an enviable and proud track record of helping many automotive manufacturers and suppliers around the world make significant improvements to their quality levels and manufacturing costs,” explains Arne Willerslev-Legrand, group managing director, G&P. “Having already demonstrated how we can bring major improvements to complex supply chains in other industry sectors, we are now working on a number of aerospace projects and are strengthening our commitment to the industry by making our award winning QTrak system more widely available. We look forward to sharing the benefits of the system with members of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance and other companies involved in the industry.”

G&P’s proprietary QTrack system is a core element of the company’s Quality Excellence Model and therefore played a fundamental role in the business winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise earlier this year. As the UK’s highest accolade for business success, G&P was bestowed the award for its helping high-value manufacturers produce the right part, first time, every time.

QTrak’s revolutionary web-based interface provides manufacturers with a host of real-time quality management information including inspection results, supplier analysis and financial analysis, allowing critical business decisions to be made swiftly based on factual live data.

The company, which already has a global footprint in the automotive industry, has also recently established dedicated aerospace offices and operations in the UK, Germany and Singapore. Furthermore G&P has the USA set up in process and is currently investigating the Chinese aerospace market, in order to provide local proximity and industry-leading levels of support to both its existing and future aerospace customers.

Established in 1994, G&P has experienced significant growth in recent years as demand for its quality management systems and expertise has increased. Indeed, earlier this year and for the third year in succession, G&P was named by the London Stock Exchange as one of ‘1,000 companies to inspire Britain’. It was also recently listed in the prestigious Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, which ranks Britain’s fastest growing mid-market private companies through international sales.
