G4S to fill key position on Miami Dolphins' defensive line-up

G4S has been selected to design, integrate and manage the security systems and operations at the home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team, the iconic Sun Life Stadium.

The new contract will see G4S install and operate Symmetry, a G4S-designed access control, high resolution video and security system, currently in use at the headquarters of the US Department of Defense in Arlington, Virginia and at around 100 US Marine Corp bases across the world.

From 2016, G4S will also develop and manage a state of the art security command centre which will be the hub of Sun Life Stadium's security operations.

"Delivering a positive fan experience is our top priority, and for the Dolphins organization that starts with ensuring the highest levels of security," said Todd Boyan, Senior Vice President of Operations for the Miami Dolphins. "G4S takes a progressive approach to security management — creating continuity in a one-stop solution. With G4S, we will stay ahead of the curve to maintain maximum safety and comfort for our fans."

Many sporting facilities operate with multiple security vendors, which can create complexity and risk; with G4S, the 65,000-seater Sun Life Stadium benefits from the scale of a global leader in security solutions — one provider with one integrated offering.

"We believe this stadium will become a model for how security is delivered and managed at other major sporting and events venues." said John Kenning, Regional CEO, North America at G4S. "We’re working with the Dolphins' security and IT functions to migrate from individual systems to a comprehensive and integrated single security offering."
