This follows the Company’s launch of a UK subsidiary earlier this year.

“DynCorp International has a fine record of supporting the military, particularly America’s, for more than sixty years”, said Richards. “We live in challenging times and DI is an exciting new provider in the UK market. I look forward to contributing to the Company’s success.”

"We are excited to have General Richards join our board, bringing forth his experience with the UK's Armed Forces which will be invaluable to DI's future business in the region," said James Geisler, DynCorp International interim chief executive officer.

The new Board will also include DI’s UK managing director, Maj Gen (Retd) Ian Copeland, and adviser Maj Gen (Retd) Tim Tyler. The Board’s role will be to ensure that DI’s experience from around the world is fully focused on the specific requirements and circumstances of the UK’s Armed Forces.

The company provides complex logistics, fleet management and through-life supply chain solutions – including maintaining some 200 types of aircraft and 80 types of military vehicles at more than 100 locations around the world.
