Glasgow Airport crowned STA airport of the year

Glasgow Airport currently celebrating its 50th anniversary - was officially crowned Airport of Year at the 2016 Scottish Transport Awards (STA), held at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow last Thursday.

The airport’s continued efforts in growing passenger numbers, securing new routes and its commitment to customer service were recognised by its peers who awarded Glasgow the title for the second year in a row.

It was a double celebration for Glasgow as airport ambassador, Sue Leaton, collected the Frontline Employee of the Year award. Sue has been a member of the airport’s ambassador team since its inception and is renowned across the airport community for having a real passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

As for Sue Leaton, I cannot think of a more worthy recipient of the employee of the year award. She typifies the passion that our staff demonstrate for customer service and it is a tremendous honour for her to be recognised by her peers in this way.”
