Graham Peters becomes Chair of UKspace

Graham Peters, Managing Director of Avanti Government Solutions, has taken over as Chair of UKspace, the trade association of the UK space industry, taking over the two-year post from Richard Peckham.

Graham Peters (above left) said: “I am delighted and honoured to be appointed as Chair UKspace. I look forward to helping to drive the trade association forward at this challenging time for the sector as we move into a post-Brexit world. There will be many challenges and opportunities ahead of us within the context of the Government’s Industrial strategy and the development of the Space Growth Partnership. I’m looking forward to representing the space industry on behalf of our members.”

Additionally, Ben Olivier, CEO Thales Alenia Space (UK), has been elected as Vice-Chair UKspace for the same period. It is the custom and practice in UKspace that the Vice-Chair will then assume the role of Chair for the following two years, from April 2020 to 2022.

UKspace President, Andy Green, said: “We are delighted to have Graham and Ben leading UKspace for the next two years. We also thank Richard for his unstinting commitment to the organisation over the past few years, as well as to the wider UK space industry, and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
