High Tech Engineering cements AS 900 accreditation

High Tech Engineering, a Bedfordshire based precision engineering manufacturer, has achieved 100% pass rate in their AS 9100 Rev C assessment – cementing their reputation for quality and assurance in the aerospace supply chain.

The company, which has recently celebrated 30 years in service, were audited on standards devised by the aerospace industry to improve quality and assure the integrity of supplies to the industry. This accreditation means that High Tech Engineering are listed on a global database accessible by the aerospace sector and will continue to receive recognition as a reputable supplier.

Assessors, NQA, reviewed the company on a number of key areas including management. quality, procurement, manufacturing and inspection. Following a detailed audit, a pass rate of 100% was given with no observations. NQA examiner Rob Allen, commented: “The company continues to demonstrate a robust commitment to meeting requirements, with the result that product quality and on time delivery performance for 2015 to date are both running at 100%. Resourcing and investment continues to be fully supported with the result that a significant direct contract with a major aerospace OEM has been awarded with promising long term opportunities.”

This recognition comes at a good time for the business as they have also just been awarded a SC21 Silver award for the seventh year running. AS 9001 Rev C accreditation will support this by providing proven business credentials and proving them with the ability to do more business.
