High Tech Engineering wins seventh consecutive SC21 Award

High Tech Engineering has received further confirmation of its position as a top-rate supply chain member, after being presented with its seventh consecutive SC21 Silver Award from aerospace, defence, security and space trading organisation ADS.

The family-run business, which uses leading-edge technology to produce quality precision-engineered components and mechanical assemblies, is the very first to receive this number of consecutive accolades; awarded in recognition of business and manufacturing excellence, and quality and delivery performance.

SC21 is a change programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace and defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains. It was launched by ADS as a reaction to the issues of international competition and the challenges posed by the defence industrial strategy. To date it has over 600 signatories.

The award comes during the same month in which the team also received a 100% pass rate with no observations under an AS 9100 Rev C assessment from auditors NQA.

Managing Director Steve Tickner commented: “We are thrilled to have received a seventh award under this organisation and I would like to say a big thank you to the team here at High Tech Engineering for helping us achieve this accomplishment. SC21 provides a reliable benchmark for the aerospace, defence, security and space supply chain and the fact that we are regarded as being at the very top of this sector is a great accomplishment. Going into 2016 we hope to build on this reputation and further enhance the industry’s perception of us.”
