Ideagen to create over 50 jobs

Nottingham-based Ideagen has announced it is to create more than 50 new jobs in preparation of achieving its eighth year of consecutive growth.

Above: 80% of new posts will be in the UK.

The company will create these posts across its UK operations with diverse roles ranging from senior management to graduates and apprenticeships.

The major recruitment drive includes 11 new employees for its UK-wide development department, nine customer support roles and 15 across sales and marketing.

Three more will oversee critical IT infrastructure while further posts have been created for HR and Quality Assurance.

The company has already launched a completely new demand department focusing on new business, comprising of five Demand Executives and Demand Manager.

Barnaby Kent (right), Ideagen’s Chief Operating Officer, said the new roles were crucial in cementing the company’s position as one of the world’s leading software companies.

He said: “As Ideagen continues to develop as an organisation, evolving into a leading software company while securing more complex and technically challenging projects, it is crucial that we continue to invest in the business and in our people.

“These roles are absolutely vital as we continue in that development. By touching every key operational point across the business – from sales and marketing to development and technical services – these new roles will ensure we continue to be well equipped, both in workforce and skillset, to successfully meet the demands of our customers across the ever-changing industries we operate in.”

The new jobs – which will take Ideagen’s global staff numbers to above 400 – follows on from the company’s trading update in May. In that Pre-Closing Trading statement it revealed performance in the last fiscal year was expected to confirm its eighth consecutive period of revenue and adjusted EBITDA growth.

David Hornsby, Ideagen CEO, added: “For nearly a quarter of a century, we have provided software solutions to thousands of customers across the globe such as the NHS in the UK, Emirates, Heineken and Harvard University.

“As we continue to expand the company, we are delighted to be able to bring both new investment and new opportunities across our operations."

Mr Kent added: “We already have some of the best quality, safety, risk, performance and audit software products on the market but having a skilled workforce behind each product is the lifeblood of the company.

“That’s why I am delighted that Ideagen continues to be strong enough and successful enough to offer new and exciting jobs across our operations."

Ideagen, which develops quality, safety, risk, performance and audit management software, is to hold a two-day event for its US customer base in Orlando, Florida, later this year.

The ‘Ideagen Horizons’ seminar 2017 will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando Downtown hotel between Wednesday, 2nd August and Thursday, 3rd August.

The event has been organised to cater for users of Ideagen’s Q-Pulse, Pentana and IPI suite of software – used by its clients for quality, safety, risk, audit and first article inspection management.

Ben Dorks, Ideagen’s Chief Customer Officer, provided an insight into this year’s Horizons seminar.

He said: “I am delighted to invite our clients in North America to join us at the 2017 Ideagen Horizons seminar.

“This event will bring together customers from many varying industries to learn about – and witness first hand – what's new with Ideagen and our products.

“The seminar, which has been expanded this year to take place over two days, will give attendees the chance to hear from our internal experts face-to-face as well as allow them to share experiences and expertise.

“It promises to be yet another fantastic Horizons event.”

Items on the agenda – which can be downloaded from the Horizons Seminar event page – include analysis of product roadmaps, product master classes and an evening networking reception. Customer presentations and Q&A sessions will also be included.

Event highlights include a focus on risk, with key presentations on optimising risk management and looking at business exposure when it comes to digital risk.

Formed in 1993, Ideagen has operations in the UK, the European Union, the United States and the Middle East, helping over 3,000 organisations improve operational efficiency, strengthen compliance and oversight and manage risk, including blue-chip names such as BAE Systems, Emirates, Shell and the European Central Bank, as well as 150 hospitals in the UK and US. It has over 360 employees and a global Partner Network.
