IDEX 2013: Survitec lands Royal Saudi air force PFE supply deal

UK clothing system supplier Survitec has won a multi-million pound, four-year contract to supply pilot flight equipment (PFE) for Royal Saudi air force aircrew as part of a BAE Systems agreement to supply the service with Hawk and Pilatus aircraft.

BAE Systems will supply Saudi Arabia with 25 Hawk 165 and 50 Pilatus PC21 aircraft under a training upgrade programme.

Merseyside-based Survitec, a first-time exhibitor at IDEX, will provide the necessary head-to-toe equipment and associated accessories, consisting of helmet/mask coupled with intrinsic hoses, flight coveralls, life preservers, anti-g suits, boots and survival beacons.
