IFS app streamlines NFM's business processes

NFM Production Sp. z o.o., a manufacturer of protective equipment and clothing for military use, has implemented IFS Applications to streamline crucial business processes such as production, distribution, project management, sales and customer service.

NFM Production, part of the Norwegian NFM Group, specialises in manufacturing field uniforms and personal protective outfits for the army, special forces, and police. Since the start in 2001, the company, which is based in Potgowo in northern Poland, has grown significantly with a comprehensive value chain that covers product design and development, selection and purchase of raw materials, manufacturing, delivery and after-sales service.

The company decided to replace its legacy ERP system since it could not support its rapid growth. Following a thorough analysis of the ERP market, NFM Production chose IFS Applications over competing solutions from vendors such as SAP and Microsoft. The IFS solution was subsequently implemented on time and on budget.

”IFS Applications has enhanced all of our key processes, which, due to the nature of our production, include comprehensive tracking of materials, quality assurance, material delivery registration, manufacturing, and customer delivery,” said Magorzata Dombrowska, CEO of NFM Production Sp. z o.o.

IFS Applications supports all key areas of NFM Production’s operations: production, material handling, research and development, sales and marketing, as well as finances, HR and payroll. The system is used by 120 employees and includes support for mobile warehouse data collection.
