IFS Applications recognised as top A&D enterprise asset management software

Global enterprise applications company, IFS, has been identified as the number one vendor in market share in enterprise asset management (EAM) and field service management (FSM) software for aerospace & defence (A&D) industries by ARC Advisory Group, the leading information technology research and advisory firm for industry and infrastructure

In its new publication “Enterprise Asset Management and Field Service Management, Market Analysis and Forecast through 2017,” ARC Advisory Group recognises IFS as the leading supplier to the global aerospace & defence industry.

“Aerospace and defence is a sector with significant requirements for traceability, asset serialisation, and heavy maintenance, repair and overhaul,” ARC Research Director for Enterprise Software Ralph Rio said. “The key users are the military, defence contractors, and commercial aviation sectors – all of which require high equipment reliability for a large number of mission-critical assets.”

“It should not come as a surprise that we have been, for multiple years now, number one in this industry,” IFS North America Vice President for Aerospace and Defence Kevin Deal said. “We develop our product from the standpoint of supporting the warfighter and the support chain. We support all of the different types of maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) the sector needs, including heavy MRO, complex MRO, depot MRO as well as component repair. And we work with the largest tier one defence systems integrators in the world.”
