John Farmer appointed Flowtechnology UK MD

Following a six month period as acting MD, Flowtechnology UK has confirmed the official appointment of John Farmer as Managing Director for the Company.

Previously a time served Engineer for a Foundry owned by Parker Hannifin, John (right) has over 32 years’ experience in the industry, previously working in a sales capacity for Energy Controls, then a distributor for Flowtechnology, selling brands such as CompAir, Rexroth Pneumatics (purchased by Bosch) and Zander Air Filtration and various electrical and pneumatic equipment.

Since joining Flowtechnology UK over 16 years ago, John has held both customer and supplier focused positions; firstly as a Sales Manager for the Midland, Norwich, London area, before moving on as a Product Development Manager in 2002 and latterly as the Product Development Director in 2004.
 
Flowtechnology UK is the leading super distributor of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Industrial products to the Fluid Power market and is the flagship company for the Flowtech Fluidpower plc Group which was listed on the AIM stock exchange from May 2014. With a team of over 120 employees the Lancashire based company, established in 1983, provides a one stop shop for over 100,000 fluid power components, servicing the maintenance equipment repair market.  The Company’s service level is unrivalled in the industry.
