Monarch appoints Ian Bartholomew as MAEL Managing Director

The Monarch Group has announced that Ian Bartholomew has been appointed as Managing Director of Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL), the Group's aircraft maintenance division.

In August 2014 after the departure of Mick Adams, Ian (above) was appointed Interim Managing Director of Monarch Aircraft Engineering and took his place on the newly formed Group Executive Committee.

Ian joined The Monarch Group in 2003 as Marketing Sales Manager and became Sales and Marketing Director in 2011. He was appointed Commercial Director in 2013.

Andrew Swaffield, Chief Executive Officer of The Monarch Group, said:
“Ian has more than 25 years’ experience in the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul industry. During his time as Interim Managing Director he was instrumental in delivering changes within MAEL which formed part of the strategic review and led to the successful sale of The Monarch Group. I would like to congratulate him on his permanent appointment and take this opportunity to wish him every success as he continues in this important role.”
