Niteworks confirms new members

Babcock is an engineering support services company with revenue of circa £3.5 billion in 2014. It delivers critical asset support to many sectors, including transport, energy, defence, telecommunications and education. Babcock has over 28,000 skilled staff who design, build, manage, operate and maintain assets that are vital to the delivery of many key public services, both in the UK and overseas. Interaction with Niteworks is being coordinated by Babcock’s Defence Systems Technology business unit, part of the Marine and Technology Division.
CDS Defence Support division specialises in providing a range of support services essential for the delivery and Through Life Management of military equipment and systems. Operating from government-approved secure premises in Cheltenham, their team of ex-military engineers provides cost-effective technical documentation, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), safety management and training services to a broad range of defence sector clients.
ONE TWO FOUR is a multi-award winning international media group, working with the world's biggest brands and broadcasters delivering content across all technical platforms. It works globally from offices in London, Plymouth, Abu Dhabi, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. ViaSat delivers innovative, high-capacity satellite, digital, cyber security and wireless capabilities – supporting fixed and mobile government, military and commercial users. Networks range from High Capacity broadband (Ka) through to secure narrowband (L) services. ViaSat’s UK office has a heritage in the information assurance field, providing CESG (the Information Security arm of GCHQ), NATO and internationally accredited encryption technologies to government agencies across the world.
Confirming the new associates, Samantha Page, Head of Commercial / Partnering at Niteworks said: “I am delighted that more companies are joining the Niteworks partnership. Feedback from our members who responded to a recent survey showed that over 90% believe that Niteworks helps improve their understanding of MoD processes and capabilities and value their participation in Niteworks.”
Demand for Niteworks membership remains strong, with 32 companies joining the partnership since the start of the new MoD contract for Niteworks in April 2013. Over the past year more than 300 people from across Niteworks’ members have worked on 86 projects on behalf of the MoD.
