Niteworks expertise boosted by latest members
The organisations joining are: Bohemia Interactive Simulations UK Limited (BISim); Harris Systems Limited (Harris); Operational Solutions Limited (OSL) and USW Commercial Services Ltd (University of South Wales Commercial Services).
Today’s announcement means that the MoD will be able to access even broader expertise from industry and academia via the Niteworks partnership.
BISim is a global software company at the forefront of simulation training solutions for military and civilian organisations. With origins in the gaming industry, BISim develops high-fidelity, cost-effective technologies for tactical military training and mission rehearsals. Its Virtual Battlespace series is one of the most widely used desktop simulation system among military and defence organisations.
Harris is a communications and IT company serving government and professional markets in over 125 countries, with its European operating hub based in Winnersh, Berkshire. The company is dedicated to developing, manufacturing and delivering best in class assured communications products, systems and services. Harris is a market leader in the field of tactical communications solutions and is proud to be a substantial contributor to UK Armed Forces capability.
OSL is a Reading-based company specialising in defence and security SME consultancy, long-term managed technical support to military simulation, sensors and networked communications, and surge contract support for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across the military equipment spectrum. Experienced in deploying technical personnel to hostile and benign environments, OSL offers a wide range of specialist skills applicable throughout the procurement and delivery chain. USW Commercial Services Ltd specialises in the provision of professional training, consultancy and knowledge transfer services on a local, national and international basis. Its client base spans the public, private and third sectors. USW Commercial Services offers innovative and flexible service packages, working with clients at all stages of the relationship to ensure it is fully aware of their needs.

Niteworks’ membership now stands at more than 130 organisations, including the MoD, Dstl, 12 major industry partners and more than 120 associate members.
Niteworks’ associate members are drawn from large defence companies, small- and medium-sized enterprises, specialists and universities.
